Balfoure Brenes joins AIRE Advisors with three decades of experience in the financial services field. Prior to joining AIRE, Balfoure was a Senior Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch in Beverly Hills. He offers advice and guidance to successful entrepreneurs, families and individuals seeking strategies to solve complex wealth management challenges.

Balfoure is most passionate about creating a financial life journey for his clients. Each client receives an in-depth goals-based plan that targets where they want to be in their lives and how they want their wealth to work for them. These discussions go beyond the numbers, since Balfoure aims to build a truly authentic and personal relationship with his clients, working side-by-side to help achieve the security and dreams they hold for themselves, their children and future generations of their family.

Balfoure is a firm believer in giving back to the community. He has served on the board of directors for the Center of the Arts in Eagle Rock and worked regularly for organizations like the American Heart Association, the University of Southern California, and Junior Achievement, where he taught 3rd and 12th graders about financial literacy. At various times throughout the year, Balfoure also joins with his neighbors to work on civic projects to improve his neighborhood for families in the community.

Recently, he and his wife adopted their little boy, Oliver, and fostered Lily, a little girl, who bring much joy to their lives. Oliver and Lily will grow up in a trilingual home, learning Spanish from their father and Vietnamese from their mother. With his rich diverse perspective, Balfoure brings cultural sensitivity and understanding to Latino and Asian American families and businesses.

Balfoure earned his undergraduate degree in finance from the College of Business and Economics at Cal State University – Northridge. He also holds a Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®) designation.
